If you’ve never tasted Hummingbird Cake you’ve gotta try this. This cake is definitely nectar for a hummingbird. It is a a wonderful cake loaded with pecans, crushed pineapple and bananas & seasoned with cinnamon. Frosted with a cream cheese icing made with real butter and finished with chopped pecans. We have this delightful cake every Thanksgiving. In fact, we’re having the pictured cake for Thanksgiving this year; after having its picture taken the cake is waiting in the freezer for our favorite holiday. Can’t wait!
This is a three layer, nine inch round cake. Hummingbird cake is rich and yummy so you can’t eat a huge slice (O.K. some of the children can!)- perfect, that means it serves more people. I usually get 15 servings.
